    Herbs have healing properties and have been used for centuries.  Include herbs in your daily regiment to enhance your bodies function. Here are a few herbs to use in your herbal teas, spices in your food or aromatherapy:

    GINGER

    helps rid the body of waste, soothes sore muscles, decrease morning sickness, reduces pain and inflammation, relieve migraine, menstrual cramps, motion sickness and prevent cold & flu.

    Health Diaries report that Ginger may be a powerful weapon in the treatment of ovarian cancer. A study conducted at the Universityof Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center found that ginger powder induces cell death in all ovarian cancer cells to which it was applied. And a study at the University of Minnesota found that ginger may slow the growth of colorectal cancer cells.

    CINNAMON

    increases blood circulation and it has an anti-clotting effect on the blood. It boosts cognitive function and memory. In addition it is a great source of Manganese, fiber and calcium. Health Diaries report that studies have shown that ½ teaspoon of Cinnamon per day can lower LDL Cholesterol.

    GARLIC POWDER

    is a natural antibiotic. It stimulates cell growth and activity, dissolves cholesterol. GARLIC helps strengthen your body’s defenses against allergies; helps loosen plaque from the artery walls; helps regulate your blood sugar levels; and is the best choice for killing and expelling parasites such as pin worms from the human body. In addition to all these health benefits, garlic is packed with vitamins and nutrients. Some of these include Protein, Potassium, Vitamins A, B, B2 and C, and Calcium.

    THYME

    is packed with essential vitamins and minerals to maintain optimum health. Its leaves are one of the richest sources of Potassium, Iron, and Manganese. It helps expel mucous from digestive, respiratory and urinary tracts. Thyme herb contains thymol, one of the important essential oils, which scientifically have been found to have antiseptic, anti-fungal characteristics.

    ECHINACEA

    is a natural antibiotic. It stimulates immune response especially production of white blood cells, improves lymphatic filtration and drainage. It is called the king of blood purifiers, it is a non-toxic cleaning for the body’s system. It wards off the onset of colds, flu or other infection. Studies have shown that Echinacea helps to stimulate growth of new tissues hence reviving the skin’s health. In addition, it has also been used to treat wounds, and bites from insects and animals like snake.
